Our story
Sophia Johnston

Sophia's passion for wine began in Cornell University's hospitality program. She took every wine class she could get into and fell in love with all the ways wine connects people: through culture, history, science, food, and more.
During four years in finance, she threw wine tastings for her colleagues as a fun social activity. People looked forward to them all year, and their enthusiasm sparked an idea: why keep this to one office? Everyone could benefit from having fun while learning about wine.
Those early tastings taught her something she still builds around. People don't remember a boring lecture from a snobby sommelier. They remember a fun fact about a region they'd never heard of, an incredible story about a winemaker, or a pairing they can't wait to try at their next dinner party. So she built every tasting around exactly that: engaging, fun, and digestible.
